Important Bridesmaids Tips
1. Ordering.
You should be assigned a bridals by lori consultant to try-on gowns. Walk-in customers are welcomed and will be placed on our first in first served waiting list to try-on. Just be sure to check-in at the front reception desk when arriving. Weekdays are great for bridesmaid shopping since weekends are hectic with so many customers in the department.
An important aspect of your bridesmaid dress selection is timing. Bridesmaid dresses take about 12-14 weeks to arrive once the order has been placed. Bridesmaid orders are placed once all bridesmaids have placed a 60% deposit and have chosen a size. All delivery times are approximate, so be sure that you are allowing enough time for your peace of mind. RUSH manufacturing is available with some designers, so please ask.
Out of town maids can order by phone or by using our online measurement form. Attendant order status may be checked online by the bride via our on-line My Info pages. These are special services only offered by us.
2. Measurements.
bridals by lori prefers to measure your local bridesmaids for the most accurate size suggestion. If you have out of town bridesmaids, we suggest that they are professionally measured by a seamstress. Bridesmaid gowns tend to run small so keep in mind that the size suggested will probably be larger than her normal size. Please review our measurement guideline video as an aid for measuring.
3. Arrival and Fittings.
The bride is notified when your ordered attendant gowns have arrived. At this time, we will confirm any shipping information as well as discuss balance payment and pickup information. Bridesmaids are welcome to make an appointment with our custom fittings department. bridals by lori suggests that you schedule alterations appointments 3-4 weeks prior to your desired date of completion.
