Fall/Winter 2026 New York Bridal Fashion Week Recap: Lori’s Predictions vs. the Runway
New York Bridal Fashion is the moment the bridal industry has been waiting for, and this season Lori Allen was, once again, front and center for it. Lori spent the week catching up with her bestie, Monte Durham, and all the designers. Lori sat through show after show, and came home with notes, inspiration, and a few “I told you so” moments.

Before she left Atlanta, Lori made her trend predictions for F/W 2026 NYBFW. Now that the final looks have walked, we’re checking her forecast for 2027 and 2028 bridal trends against the runway.
Lori & Monte Have Tea at the Plaza
Bridal Fashion Week is all about the runway, but some of the best moments happen between shows. Lori and Monte took a break for high tea at The Plaza, where they caught up and spilled the tea (literally). They talked trends, swapped bridal industry insights, and shared their favorite Say Yes to the Dress moments. The kind of conversations only two best friends in the bridal industry can have.

It was a reminder of what makes New York Bridal Fashion Week so special: the shows inspire, but so does the chance to step back, compare notes, and get excited about what’s next for our brides.
The Scorecard: Lori’s Predictions vs. What Walked Down the Runway
Texture & Tiers: Called it
Lori predicted that dimension would be a defining story this season, and the runway agreed. Layered tiers, movement, and rich texture showed up across collections, giving gowns a sculptural, romantic quality that photograph beautifully and move even better. For brides who want drama without sacrificing elegance, this is the trend to put on your bridal vision board.

Column & Sheath Silhouettes: Called it
Lori said sleek, modern silhouettes would claim their moment, and the column and sheath did exactly that. Clean lines, a body-skimming fit, and refined simplicity made a confident case for the minimalist bride. These are timeless shapes with a fresh, polished energy.

Fabric Combinations: Called it
Lori pointed to lace and mikado as fabrics to watch. The runway took it a step further with fabric combinations: delicate lace paired with structured textiles, soft against sculpted. The mix adds depth and contrast, giving each gown a distinct personality.

Long Lace Veils: Called it, with a bonus
Lori predicted long lace veils would make a statement, and they did. Floating down the runway with cathedral-worthy romance. The surprise was short lace veils, which also appeared as a chic, modern alternative. Whether she wants a grand aisle moment, or a playful, fashion-forward finish, the bride now has both options.

Still on our Radar: Pickups & Clean Construction
Lori also forecasted pickups and a move away from exposed bonding. We’re watching for both as we see to fill our showroom. We will be curious to see which gowns our brides will say yes to.
